An engineer, entrepreneur, and visionary, Alla currently serves as CEO and co-founder of CellFE. Alla co-founded CellFE and has played a leading role in developing the CellFE team and technology, successfully rallying seasoned biotech experts and inventors to join her vision for the future of cell therapies. Under her leadership, CellFE secured $22 million in Series A financing, led by M Ventures, further underscoring her determination to usher in a new era of cell therapies and making lifesaving treatments more accessible to patients in need.
A former William S. Floyd Jr. Graduate Fellow, Alla has also made prominent contributions to the research field with features in Scientific American and Discover magazine. During her doctoral research, Alla uncovered research being conducted at Georgia Tech on a transformative microfluidics technology. Her excitement in the potential of this technology to reinvent cell therapy manufacturing led her to co-found CellFE. Alla holds a PhD in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Todd Sulchek, PhD

As Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of CellFE, Todd oversees the Science and Commercial teams where he contributes to the internal scientific innovation as well as works closely with external partners to help innovate cell therapy manufacturing processes.
Todd also holds a faculty position at Georgia Tech (currently on leave), where he is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Regents’ Professor of Innovation. The primary focus of his research is to create technologies that manipulate cells in novel and useful ways, based upon fundamentals of fluids, cell biomechanics, and microsystem design. As an educator, he is passionate about teaching fundamentals of entrepreneurship to his students. Todd earned his PhD in Applied Physics at Stanford University and trained as a postdoctoral researcher and staff scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

As Chief Financial Officer of CellFE, Andrew Levitch brings over 15 years of experience in the life sciences and technology sectors as a dynamic and results-driven senior executive. Throughout his career, Andrew has demonstrated his ability to drive EBITDA growth and manage P&L responsibilities across a diverse range of organizations, from Fortune 50 companies to venture-backed startups. A previous advisor of Merck’s Global Health Innovation Fund, he has performed due diligence on investments totaling over $150M and provided operational assessments to enhance portfolio companies’ performance.
Alex Alexeev, PhD

As the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of CellFE, Alex is focused on advancing the development and application of the microfluidic technology that underlies CellFE’s Infinity products.
A professor at the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech, Alex conducts research in fluid mechanics and soft matter. A seasoned researcher and National Science Foundation CAREER Award recipient, Alex has a breadth of scientific and research expertise in fluid mechanics, microfluidics, and cell mechanics, boasting over 100 journal publications on topics relating to microfluidics, biofluids, fluid-structure interactions, soft materials, and interfacial phenomena. Alex received his PhD from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel and conducted his postdoctoral research at the Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany and the University of Pittsburgh.

As Vice President of Product Development Leo brings over 15 years of experience in the biotechnology and medical device industry as a seasoned product development leader. Since joining CellFE, Leo’s multifunctional leadership experience has been critical to the successful launch of the company’s first product – the Infinity MTx Platform, as well as CellFE’s robust product pipeline. Driven by a passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence, Leo continues to drive product development initiatives at CellFE, paving the way for transformative advancements in biotechnology and medical devices.
Prior to joining CellFE, Leo led multifunctional teams at Roche and Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, spearheading successful global product launches at both companies.
Sewoon Han, PhD

As Head of Engineering and a founding employee, Sewoon leads a team of talented engineers and is responsible for spearheading CellFE’s continuous innovative efforts to develop its cutting-edge microfluidics technology, including its instrumentation and consumables, for both research and clinical applications.
With over a decade of experience spanning academia and industry, Sewoon has been instrumental in the development of groundbreaking technologies in microfluidics. Upon completion of two postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania and at the University of California, Berkeley, Sewoon held leadership positions as a founding member and Vice President of Engineering at Kryptos Biotechnologies, where he led the development of ultrafast PCR technologies.
Sewoon holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Korea University.

As Head of Sales, Paul brings over 15 years of experience in the biotechnology industry to CellFE, with a primary focus on supporting transformative cell and gene therapy platforms. A fierce advocate of the customer experience and fostering meaningful collaborations, Paul has a proven track record of success in launching a range of products and scaling businesses internationally.
Prior to joining CellFE, Paul has previously led sales teams for Sartorius and Nanolive, introducing novel T Cell killing assays and tools for high throughput screening. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Kansas State University.
Chih-Wen Ni, PhD

As Head of Science, Chih-Wen leads a team of experienced scientists to explore a broad range of cellular engineering applications using CellFE’s microfluidics technology, working to provide innovative solutions to manufacturers in the cell therapy development and manufacturing industry.
After completing his post-doctoral research at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in developmental biology, Chih-Wen served as Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Khalifa University, United Arab Emirates and as Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at the University of California, Merced. Throughout his career in academia, Chih-Wen has focused his research on understanding the regulation of gene expression and cell function in response to the application of a mechanical force leading him to the exploration of Infinity microfluidic technology.
He holds a PhD in Bioengineering from Georgia Tech.
